Fall Happenings at SGAA
What is the Bead-a-thon? Lampworking artisans will work for 24 hours at torches creating one-of-a-kind glass art beads; to each bead created over the two-day marathon will go directly to children with serious illnesses who receive the Beads of Courage Program nation-wide. When: Artists will work Friday, September 12th from 8:00am to 10:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Bead-a-thon will also feature bead stringing demonstrations and a live performance by The Tryst. The event will culminate with a reception at Elle Wine County Restaurant on Saturday evening.

Just in time for Halloween, we will fill our studio with pumpkins of all sizes, colors, and prices. Come spend some time at the Academy watching pumpkins be created by our faculty and students, then browse the studio for that special art glass pumpkin. Watch Flame Shop demonstrations and enter a drawing to win a free Blow Your Own Ball experience!
Annual Art Auction and Wearable Art Show

The SGAA proudly presents its 8th Annual Art Auction, the Academy's biggest fundraiser, featuring an exquisite collection of glass art created by internationally acclaimed glass artists. This year, we introduce our Wearable Art Show, supported in part by Chico ’s, a Women’s Fashion retailer. This year's auction will be held at Hacienda Del Sol and promises to be an exciting and entertaining evening event. Support SGAA's mission of promoting glass art education while enhancing your personal art collection. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and two free drink tickets. Please join us for this extraordinary evening celebration of the diversity in glass art.
