If you are a National Board Certified Teacher, there is a presentation at
NAEA you may want to attend. Your certification is good for ten years and
some of the original teachers in the first cohort have now gone through
"recertification." You can NOT wait until your tenth year to think about
recertifying...if you let the certification lapse you have to go through the
whole beginning certification process from scratch. One of the first art
teachers to get National Board certification is my colleague, Debi
Barrett-Hayes. She successfully went through the program for recertification
last year and can give you insights into what the recertification process is
like and how to prepare for success in the new process.

Her session is entitled: "Recertify...the Nightmare of the NBCT's" and is
currently scheduled for Wed 1:00 PM to 1:25 PM
Concourse C, Concourse Level "Recertify...the Nightmare of the NBCTs"/ALL
      Presented by: Debi P. Barrett-Hayes
