      the first place, since the thing in question is on public display and
      warrented, in effect, as a genuine work of art it is not covered by
      any obscenity law. Even more to the point, there is legal precident
      under the academic freedom rulings cover the teacher's use of the
      object in a lesson. I don't recall the case, but it has to do
      originally with a teacher who had some cussing in a text that the
      class read and the supream court ruled that he was covered under the
      principle of academic freedom.

      This is just another example of why every teaher needs to belong to a
      union. "Why don't you buck like thunder and dump the bosses off your
      back?"
