The growing polarization between communities and apprehension
and fear among minorities have been a matter of concern for all of us.
Two weeks ago Sadbhav Mission meeting held at IIT Delhi made a decision to
run a two days door to door campaign on Peoples' unity
forming 100 groups, each comprising two people of different faiths.
Immediately after this I went to Gorakhpur, Munger and Aligarh and the
need for the campaign got reinforced. Prof. Shamsul Islam and Nishant
Natya Manch had already indicated the need to campaign among the masses.
Yesterday we have finalized the flyers (see attachments) in Hindi and
English and 6000 copies of these will be ready Saturday morning. I wish to
appeal to all the friends and like minded organizations to make it a

Preparatory drive begins tomorrow, November 1, 2008, 12 noon from Jamia
Millia Islamia (Ansari Auditorium) where Foundation Day celebrations are
going on. Whole week we will be visiting different institutions and places
to solicit the support of volunteers and organizations. Your help in
this drive will be most valuable. Final campaign will be held on November
8 and 9.
We plan to cover academic institutions (IIT Delhi, JNU, DU and
its colleges, Jamia Hamdard, JMI, IGNOU) and courts on November 8 and
localities (Okhla, Friends Colony, Masihgarh, Sangam Vihar, Narela,
Bawana, Old Delhi) on November 9.
