      Hi
See the Hindu news today- below (this is just one example). It is once again obvious that this bloody name SIMI is being used to harass and alienate Muslims. The reason is not necessarily hatred but a need of the police to find justification to continue the ban of this organisation every time the review comes up. this means that they are forced to fabricate evidence. if by any chance the tribunal revokes the ban it will be a great loss of face to the police and the govt and therefore they have to seriously manipulate so that that possibility is averted. Although the Tehelka has exposed the joke this SIMI stuff is.
Is there anyone in the country opposing the permanent ban of the organisation, if so we pray  you give up the opposition and instead argue for the permanent ban and complete dissolution of this organisation or whatever is remaining of it. If u have any respect for the human rights of the hapless Muslims pl argue instead to permanently ban the outfit.
We know very well that terror is manufactured by those who are bent upon destroying muslims- just like how the US created the Afghan terrorists first to fight the USSR and then to destroy Afghan.  Malaegave, Ajmer, Mecca Masjid.... were all manufactured to kill muslims and then to put the blame on the victims so that they can be perpetually torchured by the system. and they foist the rightly hated pakistan flags and blame muslims to kill them, they throw beef in the sacred Hindu temple and blame muslims to kill them.....
Anyone taking to violence in the name of muslims is an enemy of muslims and they are be sponsored by agents of hatred and destruction. Simi must have been a creation like that as well, probably a creation of CIA. THe US did not get support for its war against USSR in Afghanistan becuase of India's principled Non-alignment policy and then they might probably have tried various other options to generate public opinion in their favour. Simi was a supporter of the american war against the USSR in Afghanistan.
Dear human rights groups, Muslim leaders pl take note and pl ask for the complete ban on Simi and save muslims from further targeting in the name of this organisation. and also save the police from the need to constantly manufacture reasons to continue the ban on simi. Otherwise it will be used as a perpetual source to harass, torture and alienate Muslims and even make them lose faith in the democratic space and processes.
      With May Day greetings

Trust that hosted Muslim personal law board meet is SIMI front: Centre

Home Ministry's background note on SIMI mentions four more such organisations
The Maharashtra-based Khair-e-Ummat Trust, one of the hosts of the recent three-day convention of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) in Mumbai, has been named by the Union government as one of the “fronts/pseudonymous organisations of SIMI.”
The trust's general secretary, Haroon Mozawalla, has decided to present its case before Justice V.K. Shali, who heads the one-man tribunal that is determining the validity of the ban on SIMI. Justice Shali is slated to visit Maharashtra to examine the evidence against SIMI.
The Home Ministry's “background note on the Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI),” a copy of which is with The Hindu , mentions four more organisations as being SIMI ‘fronts' at the national level — Tahreek-e-Ehyaa-e-Ummat (TEU), Tehreek-Talaba-e-Arabia (TTA), Tahrik Tahaffuz-e-Shaaire Islam (TTSI) and Wahdat-e-Islami.
Importantly, the Centre has not banned these groups, which it claims to be ‘fronts' of SIMI that was declared an unlawful group under Section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
The note is part of the government's arguments before the Justice Shali Tribunal.
The government has argued that after the ban, SIMI had been trying to revive itself through fronts and pseudonymous organisations in a clandestine manner.
The background note alleges that the Khair-e-Ummat trust, which tops the list from Maharashtra, is one of the three dozen ‘fronts,' “organisations of SIMI, which are State-specific and are being used for carrying out its activities, including collection of funds, circulation of literature, regrouping of cadres, etc.”
Mr. Mozawalla denied ever being contacted by any government authority regarding the issue.
“We are a charitable organisation working for the underprivileged in areas of education and medical facilities since 1998,” he told The Hindu .
A Home Ministry spokesperson said it was not the practice of the Ministry to comment on a matter pending before the tribunal.
The AIMPLB reacted strongly to the news. “Intelligence Agencies are bringing a bad name to the government. No one knows who directs the agencies which are hell-bent on accusing each and every Muslim organisation for an undesirable act,” Abdul Rahim Qureishi, general secretary of the AIMPLB, said.
“The activists of SIMI have managed to enter into political parties and have been found to be maintaining links with other Muslim organisations for putting pressure on the Government to lift ban on SIMI,” the background note claims, without giving any detail or naming any political party.

Your whole argument in support of permanent ban on Students Islamic Movements of India is full of stupidities. Though I do not subscribe to the ideology of SIMI but I am not in favour of continuation of ban on SIMI. India is a secualr and democratic country and everyone has right to express and propagate his ideas peacefully. If the government is unable to prove the involvement of the members of SIMI in terrorist activities there is no point for continuation of ban. Instead of continuation of ban on SIMI evry peace loving Indian should strive hard for the permanent ban on all those fascist foreces who have become threat to the internal peace and security of the nation.
