for the study and discussion of the works, life and influence of St.
Augustine, Doctor of the Catholic Church, and related matters.
Discussion is also invited regarding the later authors and movements
who were particularly influenced by him, such as St. Thomas Aquinas
and the Jansenists.

St. Augustine is the greatest of the Church Doctors, and is known as
the Doctor of Grace, due to his great works against the Pelagian
heresy. His most famous works are the City of God and the
Confessions. He is also a great philosopher and the author of a
monastic rule.
