      The following is the config. file. Mybe it is not possible to send a message to yourself but I have tried other call signs...The message cycle though 5 retries and not sent also, Google Map APRS does not show the message in the packet.

      That error has nothing to do with sending messages, but has everything to do with the fact that there is either no COM3 on your PC or COM3 is open by some

        That error has nothing to do with sending messages, but has everything
        to do with the fact that there is either no COM3 on your PC or COM3 is
        open by some other program. If you watch the APRS OK pane (and shorten
        your RF Port's name), you'll see that the RF Port never achieves an OK
        status.

        So, check with Device Manager to find out if you have a COM3 and then
        make sure any and all other programs that might be using it are closed.
