    The steps are correct! And there is a checkmark next to the file to boot. I am using MAPC2MAPC. I would guess it is a stricter than Notepad. Thanks! Best

      PS. What other application are you using to open it? I've got one open
      now and it opens perfectly fine in Notepad and Google Earth even while
      displayed in APRSIS32.

        Subject to Lynn finding something, it may not be an issue with aprsis32. It may be a subtle bug (feature?) in Microsoft's file handling software. I have seen other instances in which the first application properly closed a file but because that application itself was still running a second application would think the file was still unavailable if the second application tried to open it.

        I regularly get an error message that a removable media is still busy even if the application that was accessing the the media had closed all the files it had opened. I think at least once even closing the application did not "free" media so it could be removed "safely."
