On the Pink boxes: http://aprsisce.wikidot.com/scrolling-stations
you can bring up the Invalids trace log to see what it thinks might be
wrong with various packets going by. If a delayed-delivery duplicate
packet is detected (usually caused by an IGate delaying delivery to
APRS-IS beyond the duplicate detection interval), the track point will
also be displayed in pink rather than black. View / Duplicates will
show those stations with detected duplicates in their tracks. There are
delayed-0duplicate "hot-spots" around the North America and the world,
some are always there (Niagara Falls and Los Angeles) and others come
and go (WC4PEM in Central Florida).
The debug messages being sent to KJ4ERJ-AP are only from the latest
development version and are assisting me in determining what sections of
the program are taking too long (> 2 seconds) so that I can work towards
improving system responsiveness. If you're instance is generating debug
messages (and it is), the most common cause is a slow or overloaded
machine trying to display too many stations. If you're ok with the
response, then don't worry about them.
Some of the slow response messages will be corrected before the next
general release. I've fixed a few already and there's more that I know
about (the background version checking being one of the latter).
