A clever way of "configuration management that I plan on using is to connect Radio J1 pin 4 (JP1) which selects which BANK to use, to J2 pin 9 (commonly unused RS232 pin) and then add a jumper between 9 and 5 on my cable to the computer.
Using this method with BnkMode = 1, you would use Bank 1 (settings for TT4 MUTE) when connected to the computer, and Bank 0 (TT4 as tracker).
SSIDs would still be DIFFERENT, but the same between the 2 BANKS (could be different if you would like to track the state and be sure it is muted).

Both. Depending on your TT4 configuration.

My TT4-based APRSIS32 IGate uses KJ4ERJ-7 as the TT4 and KJ4ERJ-1 as the
APRSIS32 instance. The TT4 beacons it's internal telemetry under it's
own -SSID and the IGate advertizes its services under it's own -SSID.
      Multiple functions, multiple -SSIDs, IMHO.

You can configure the TT4 to be mute and not generate any internal
packets and let APRSISCE/32 do all the transmitting also. The choice is
      up to you.

However I strongly recommend AGAINST the temptation to use a single
-SSID for the TT4 and APRSISCE/32 instance. You may think they're a
"single station", but they operate independently and have different
functions and features, so I recommend giving them individual identities
to preserve that distinction and assist in problem diagnosis.
