      Going to push my luck further and trying 50mW when the next perfect pass is happening.

      FWIW: Have tried tens of times on 500mW but never got into ISS / or did not get the reply but this morning I tried holding the HT with the rubber ducky antenna pointing down to earth approx 45deg in front of me and facing the upcoming pass of ISS.
