        Wow thats impressive, i have never been able to digi through the iss without at least a 3db antenna and 5 watts... You must have been in the right place at the right time!

            I use 500MW but I figure it s cold in space. It s mostly about the antenna and not the power, my problem is high gain colinears I have, that put everything out

                FWIW: Have tried tens of times on 500mW but never got into ISS / or did not get the reply but this morning I tried holding the HT with the rubber ducky antenna pointing down to earth approx 45deg in front of me and facing the upcoming pass of ISS.
