      The KWD710(Pkt) mode keeps the D710 in TNC mode. In this mode, the
      UNPROTO xxxx VIA yyyy doesn't support transmitting used path elements
      and therefore is unusable as a digipeater.

      The easiest way to use a D710 as a digipeater is to put it into KISS
      mode and let APRSISCE/32 take full control. The normal KISS type port
      should do that, provided that you have the D710's TNC in Packet mode
      before starting APRSISCE/32 or enabling the port.
