      sure what may be happening here. Maybe Lynn or others may have the
      answer. Are U sure you edited the right XML file? I have seen mails
      about the file extensions not showing and u maybe didn't get right file?

          The KWD710(Pkt) mode keeps the D710 in TNC mode. In this mode, the
          UNPROTO xxxx VIA yyyy doesn't support transmitting used path elements
          and therefore is unusable as a digipeater.

          The easiest way to use a D710 as a digipeater is to put it into KISS
          mode and let APRSISCE/32 take full control. The normal KISS type port
          should do that, provided that you have the D710's TNC in Packet mode
          before starting APRSISCE/32 or enabling the port.
