Otherwise, the cheap WebDT366 with WinCE and APRSISCE/32 is optimal configuration for me as long as I will not expect more than that platform can serve for me ;-).

Seems like it would be easier to pick up a Netbook and save all of that effort (I picked up a refurb Dell Mini 10 for $189 a few months ago).  The only thing that would be missing would be the tablet form factor including touch screen.  But typing messages would certainly be easier (except for the Bluetooth Keyboard I've got paired up to my WebDT).

I have configuration similar to Lynn’s - separate AP with WEP configured only for WebDT366 and for me it is fine.

You can also migrate your WebDT366 to WinXP OS which is described more or less detailed on http://webdt.org

I can refer to my friend experience. He upgraded internal flash memory to 1GB and finally to 2GB, swapped old WiFi card with new 3G/HSDPA modem (it could be new WiFi card as well), added 8GB flash memory for data storage and prepared small image of WinXP Professional suitable for above HW configuration.

It works really nice and serves not only for APRSISCE/32, but also for navigation, Internet browsing and music playing, but not necessarily all of them in parallel. ;-)

It’s nice, but it is more than doubled in terms of initial WebDT366 price - especially if you consider WinXP license.

Well, still reasonable cost in my opinion, but for me not worth to pay it so far, perhaps in the future ;-).

My WIFI networks are encrypted with WPA/WPA2 PSK. The CICSO WIFI PCMCIA card in the DT366CE has only a selection for WEP. All passwords/key are being rejected.

Is there any way to connect with this configuration? Do I need another PCMCIA card?

If anyone has any ideas about this, please reply to the post. Thanks in advance.
