Vinegar eels should work or small amounts of boiled egg yolk but be careful not to overfeed it as you will muck the water up quickly. I'd recommend making infusoria out of lettuce leaves but that requires a bit of planning ahead which wasn't available this time.

The Pair of Paradise fish I got at Mark's open house
spawned in a pint container before I had a chance to get them into a pond.
I lost the mom, (dad probably did her in) and
thought there was just some bubbles in there. A few days later,

tiny. I don't think they could deal with baby brine yet. Perhaps vinegar
eels or some green water from the back yard?
