      world-renowned Canadian symphony conductor, Georg Tintner, has
      died after falling from his 11th-floor apartment
      balcony. <br><br>Tintner, who was 82, was born in Vienna
      in 1917. <br><br>Details of what happened are
      sketchy. But a Halifax newspaper quotes police as saying
      the fall was not "suspicious." <br><br>Tintner was
      Symphony Nova Scotia's Conductor Laureate, and the
      principal guest conductor of the Prince George Symphony
      Orchestra. <br><br>He was also a member of the Order of
      Canada.
