Group Description

This group is intended for use by enthusiasts of antique or "early" electric vehicles, mostly American cars. Electric vehicles from the late 1890's thru roughly the early-1930's with the production end of the famous Detroit Electric.
The most popular makes of electric cars during this time included Baker, Chicago, Detroit, Milburn, Rauch&Lang and Waverly, with many dozens more marques in production over these years.
With several hundred surviving antique electric cars around today and with roughly 50 each of the above major makes still whirring around, this group is a place where owners, historians and others can share information, history, supplies & stories.
This list should not be considered a substitute for joining and participating in actual horseless carriage or electric car groups or newsletters, particularly the HCCA, AACA & the best source: "Antique Electric Vehicle Newsletter" --- Newsletter Inquires to Blanche Gordon, PO Box 6550, Thomasville, GA 31758 or blanche at rose dot net.
