      Week 27, 1st week of October:

      Week 10, 1st week of June.

      How to breathe with each verse of Calendar of the Soul?

      ·    The Stage lights gives one way, often forward on the prologue- as it is through the text - and reverse order in the epilogue.

      ·    The forms, another: are there one or many forms?

      ·     The colours of the veils, yet another;

      ·    The sounding breath (of the eurythmic movement) sounds of vowels or consonants or both, this is still another variation of the breathing of the weekly verse. A few sound in the prologue and epilogue, and eurythmic sounds done while the text is recited. Some times the recitation is done before and the whole piece is moved in silence.

      There are two eurythmists on the stage,

      Prologue: or how to breathe before the verse:

      Colour of eurythmists:

      Surrounding them is a colour on their “veil”; they move their feelings according to that colour;

      1: BLUE,

      2: RED

      Colour of stage lights:

      Surrounding them is a colour from the stage lights; they move their feelings according to that colour;

      First part YELLOW AND red, foot lights: white.

      Second part: red and green, foot lights: blue.

      Third part: YELLOW, foot lights yellow and red.

      Sound sequence:

      They move in the mood of different sounds of the alphabet, in a sequence:

      1: I/U/O/I/U/O,

      2: O/U/I/O/U/I.

      *The vowel sounds are as in the original German so in English: A is [Ah], E is [Eh], I is [ee], O is[Oh], U is [oo],

      and Ei is as in [by]

      Text 1st form:

      Then during the recitation

      They do the prologue form.

      Lines 1-4: ABOVE: YELLOW AND red, foot lights: white.

      Zu sommerlichen Höhen

      Erhebt der Sonne leuchtend Wesen sich;

      Text 2nd form:

      They do the second form with the SAME LIGHTING.

      Es nimmt mein menschlich Fühlen

      In seine Raumesweiten mit.

      Text 3rd form:

      They do the second form.

      Lighting: ABOVE: red and green, foot lights: blue.

      Erahnend regt im Innern sich

      Empfindung, dumpf mir kündend,

      Text 4th form:

      They do the fourth form

      Lines 7-8: ABOVE: YELLOW, foot lights yellow and red.

      Erkennen wirst du einst:

      Dich fühlte jetzt ein Gotteswesen.

      Epilogue:

      Form as 4th text form done three times.

      Lighting as prologue, usually in reverse order.

      Sounds in reverse order.

      They move the prologue forms in the same ways.

      John Salter’s translation:

      To lofty heights of summer

      Mounts the radiant being of the sun;

      Into its wide expanse of space

      It draw my human feeling.

      Within my inner being stirs

      A sense of what is to come,

      Softly voicing:

      In time thou wilt recognise,

      A godlike being felt then thy being.
