Thanks for this message. Yes, AT is a wonderful "cyber cafe of stand
up anthro comedy," and I would urge all subscribers here to read the
messages on AT because they are public.

Since you brought this up, Dan, I want to let you know about the
spiritual-scientific undercurrents of this humor.
Aside from posting the calender of the Soul verses each week, I had
really not contributed much of anything to the Steiner Internet groups
over the past 7 years.
The event that brought me back online was my discovery of Judith von
Halle two short months ago.
What is her connection with the humor? Remember how close she is to
Edith Maryon. Some people even claim that JvH is the actual
reincarnation of Edith.
Well, of course, Edith Maryon guided Rudolf Steiner to carve the
representative of Man statue. Now contemplate the statue. Look into
the upper left part. What do you see as the highest figure of all in
Yes, the Rock Being, the elemental being that I have nicknamed Rocky,
because Rudolf Steiner himself designated him as the "Spirit of Cosmic
If Rocky were not there in the statue, then we would all be doomed to
suffer the fate that Valentin Tomberg speaks of in Letter XV of the
Tarot, the Devil Card, when he describes so many anthroposophists as
obsessed with intellectual classifications of what is Ahrimanic, what
is Luciferic, etc. and how this has "clipped the wings of the
Anthroposophical movement." (see pp. 402-403 in Tarcher edition)
But Rocky opens up a whole new dimension to the otherwise closed
universe of Ahriman-Christ-Lucifer. Rocky represents the purely human
quality that is untouched by the adversaries and even allowed to be
free by Christ.
So therefore, when you read anything that makes you laugh on AT, not
only think of the Rock Being in the statue, think also of our beloved
Stigmata Lady, Judith von Halle, as a person who is profoundly
connected with the Spirit of Cosmic Humor.
Let me leave you with a cute imagination: picture Edith Maryon working
on the statue, chiseling out Rocky's figure. She has the Stigmata.
Rocky says to her: "Hey, Lady, watch where you're hammering with that
chisel. You're already bleeding all over me. I don't want to make it
Also we are all looking forward to the day when both Dottie Zold and
Peter Staudenmaier will each laugh at themselves. On that day, the
Earth disappears and we move into the Jupiter Stage.
