VALLEY FORGE, PENNSYLVANIA -- July 23, 2009: The staff of Zenkaikon is excited to announce a new contest in which two lucky attendees will have the chance to enjoy lunch with voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch. They are also pleased to add two more guests for their 2009 event - voice actress Trina Nishimura, and the creators of the webcomic "Geeks Next Door."

About Lunch with Johnny Yong Bosch Contest:

The staff of Zenkaikon is giving pre-registered attendees the opportunity to win a lunch outing with voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch during Zenkaikon 2009. All attendees who pre-register for a two-day pass for Zenkaikon 2009 before October 6, 2009 will be automatically entered into the contest. Two winners will be chosen on October 7, 2009, and will be announced shortly thereafter. In addition, each winner will be able to choose one additional pre-registered attendee to attend the lunch as their guest. For more information and full contest rules, please visit

      About Trina Nishimura:

Trina Nishimura is relatively new to the voice-acting scene. Noted as the voice of Akira from School Rumble, Nishimura has also starred in Black Cat, Claymore, Desert Punk, Jyu Oh Sei, Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, Speed Grapher, both of the Negima!? properties, Sasami: Magical Girl Club, Baldr Force Exe, School Rumble: 2nd Semester, and the ever popular Witchblade. Recently, she has been working on a character named Nadie in the upcoming El Cazador de la Bruja, the final installation in B-Trains 'girls with guns' trilogy. Nishimura has also voiced characters in many other Funimation properties.

      About "Geeks Next Door":

When two geeks love each other very much, and their names happen to be Jessi and Matt Pascal, that is when the miracle known as "a webcomic" happens. From their everyday adventures at home to their game sessions on DungeonMastering.com, Jessi and Matt combine their powers to mock the absurdities and celebrate the awesomeness of the geek life.

      About Zenkaikon:

Zenkaikon was formed by the merger of the anime and sci-fi convention Zentrancon and the anime convention Kosaikon, both in the Philadelphia area. In 2006, they put on their first event, which was a tremendous success. Zenkaikon will return for its fourth installment on November 7 and 8, 2009, moving into the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge. The convention will feature two days of programming with dealers, artists, panels, performances, gaming, and more. The Zenkaikon staff wishes to thank the many attendees who made the 2008 event such a huge success. They hope to see this trend continue in 2009, and are actively anticipating expansion with larger performance and panel areas, dealer space, and video game rooms.
