http://www.examiner.com/animal-welfare-in-national/chinese-blogger-threatens-to-kill-a-dog-daily-to-protest-animal-rights-incidentChinese blogger threatens to kill a dog daily to protest animal rights incident‏Yesterday,
a Chinese internet blogger threatened to kill a dog every day in
protest against activists who stopped a truck full of dogs three weeks
ago while en route to the slaughterhouse. The rescuers bought the dogs
to save them from being killed. The blogger, Zhu Guangbing, says that he
will kill a dog a day until the rescuers apologize.
Last month, Huffington Post reported on the incident in which the dogs were rescued on the highway:
“After spotting a truck packed with hundreds of
whimpering dogs on a Beijing highway, a man put out a call on a
microblogging site, begging fellow animal lovers to help him force the
driver to release the animals. Around 200 people responded, blockading
the truck at a toll booth for 15 hours until they finally negotiated the
dogs' release for $17,000, saving them from being slaughtered and
      served as food.”

Now, as protest to the incident, Guangbing is making threats to
concerned animal welfare advocates. Roughly translated, he wrote on his
      blog:
"Dog rescuers on highways, if you don't use the huge
money you used on rescuing dogs to save people (starving students who go
to class), I'll kill a dog a day starting June 1 to protest your
      hypocrisy!"

He also posted a video on the blog (in Chinese), stating that he will kill a dog a day until the rescuers apologize. The Chinese blog can be found at this link.
However, if you cannot read Chinese, please do not click on the link,
as it will just give him page views, encouraging him more. If you are
able to comment in Chinese, you can do so directly on the blog, or you can email the blogger at gbzhu119@... (email address was provided by animal rights group and is not verified).

Guangbing’s threat has made headlines in China, as Chinese newspaper, Global Times
reported on it yesterday. The story is now circulating on the Internet,
outraging animal welfare advocates around the world.  According to
      Global Times:
“Zhu has received hundreds of phone calls over the
last few days, a minority agreeing with his argument that the issue is a
straight choice between saving human beings and killing animals. A
      majority, however, questioned Zhu's logic.”

What do you think of Guangbing’s threat? Do you agree that this is an
appropriate reaction to the animal activists’ stand against slaughter
      that occurred last month?

victimization--free from brutality. It is a right that EVERY being
