      1) OMAR SALEH GEARS UP FOR UPCOMING SHORT FILM

After finishing the first draft of his feature script Tafahum, indie
filmmaker Omar Saleh decides to take a break and shoot the script for
a short film with a working title I AM READY. The film is about a
young man who receives the call of duty but is unable to deliver.
Among other films, Omar Saleh has co-directed What a Job, The Last
Patch, and has acted in Overdose and The Order of Out.

      2) RIFQI ASSAF FINALIZES SCRIPT FOR NEXT SHORT

Indie filmmaker and prolific writer Rifqi Assaf finally falls in love
with one of his many short film scripts. Assaf's film script is about
a romantic tragedy that is full of suspense and is seen via the
crosshair of destiny. Based on early reviews of the script, this short
film promises to be a visually and dramatically original addition to
the Cooperative lineup of fiction shorts. Assaf also co-directed The
      Last Patch with Omar Saleh.

      3) ALABBAS USES CINEMA TO EXPRESS HIS SORROW OVER PROPHET CARTOONS

Indie filmmaker Alabbas Ahmad Saed has been deeply touched deeply by
the offensive cartoons. Presently working full time for a charity and
tending to his college education after work, Alabbas decided to use
his newly-acquired filmmaking skills to produce a short video to
express his sorrow over the offenses and to show his respect for the
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Last year, Alabbas, with co-director Sajeda
Abusaif, made their first short film Free To Fly after a Cooperative
      filmmaking workshop.
