AFC'S ALERT GUNS AND OVERDOSE TO COMPETE IN TANGIER FILM FESTIVAL

      FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(August 3, 2005 - AMMAN) The program of the 3rd edition of the
Mediterranean Short Film Festival (a.k.a. Tangier Film Festival) will
include two Jordanian films from the Amman Filmmakers Cooperative (AFC).

Alert Guns by Aseel Mansour and Overdose by Ammar Quttaineh have been
selected for the Tangier festival's film competition, which will take
place in Morocco from the 10th to the 16th of September 2005.

"This is phenomenal. Just two years ago we were banging from the
outside at the gates of regional cinema centers," said Hazim Bitar,
founder and coordinator of the AFC. "The sudden appeal of jordanian
films in the free market of film festivals is a vindication of the AFC's
      organizational model and intellectual framework."
