      Hello ACA list,

Well, I'm back from my summer assignment up Nawth, and am in lovely
humidity-filled, sweltering Louisiana. Ahhh, 'tis good to have some
salty sweat glistening on my brow again, and be in the land of XL
shrimp for $4 USD a pound; "heads-on" of course. :-)

          offers.
Let me introduce myself, as I feel it necessary.I have
been teaching English for 28 years now. During the
last ten years I have also specialized in
communication studies. My PhD is in linguistics / the
thesis is /The Conversation - an Aspect of the Verbal
Interaction / that is, a pragma-linguistic approach to
          conversation. I also teach Interpersonal
          Communication, Theories of Communication, Nonverbal
Communication, Strategies of Communication to both
students of the Faculty of Letters, and to those
involved in the Master Programme (Master in Language
          and Communication Studies).
I have published books on Interpersonal Communication,
on Conversation, as well as lots of articles on the
same topics.(if anyone is interested in my CV, I could
          e/mail it)
I would like to get in touch with specialists in the
field, or with all interested in the same topics, so
as to share ideas, to learn about international
          conferences/meetings on the respective topics.
I am also interested in calls for papers from
          different language studies reviews.
The Department I belong to (The Department of English
Language and Literature) publishes three reviews
          including studies on literature, communication
          studies, applied linguistics, linguistics, semiotics,
pragmatics. One of the reviews, CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES,
goes abroad to different universities.Maybe, members
belonging to ACA list would like to join our efforts
and contribuite with articles, or would like to take
part to our international conferences we organize
          every year.
          Does it sound interesting?
          Thanks for being there!!!!
