      FACULTY POSITION IN COMMUNICATIONS

      POSITION Tenure-track, ten-month appointment as Assistant or Associate
      Professor in the Department of Humanities, Communications, and Graphic
      Design. Appointment to begin August 2006.

      RESPONSIBILITIES
      The candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in multi-media
      technical communication and mass communication among others. Some
      additional responsibilities include advising students, serving on
      committees at the department and campus level.

      QUALIFICATIONS
      The prospective candidate should be an individual who possesses a
      doctoral degree in communications or a related field, or is ABD with
      an anticipated degree completion date of January 2007. Preference
      will be given to a person who has had some experience teaching at the
      undergraduate level. A person with some experience in broadcast media
      would be ideal. This position involves working with associate level
      students instructing both theory and practice. We would like a
      candidate with vision and enthusiasm who could work with other
      department members in developing a new BS degree program in
      Communications Technology.

      SALARY AND
      BENEFITS
      Salary and academic rank are dependent upon education and experience.
      Employee benefits with the State University of New York are excellent.
