It is always difficult to assign more importance to one of our nation's
legally designated days of observance than another, but from a Christian
standpoint, tomorrow, May 3, 2012, has to be a very important day.

Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer, an observance first signed into
law by President Truman in 1952, and then the specific date -- the first
Thursday in May -- was signed into law by President Reagan in 1988.
This will be the 61st observance.

The importance of prayer receives prominent mention in today's issue
of ANC -- click on one of the presidents in the picture above, and then on
the "Home" page, click on the "Current Issue" tab.
