Hello - Thanks very much for your comments; so
      THAT's what the "C" for "Printer?" means.<br><br>Just
tried "LIST;" in the simulator but that gets a syntax
error. At the moment it's more a minor annoyance than a
major problem as you can always just 'reset' the
console back to 16 (10 hex, or 020 octal) and still have
      a good listing.<br><br>Now, there's LOTS of
      simulator fun at
<br><a href=http://www.employees.org/~samiam/basichome.html target=new>http://www.employees.org/~samiam/basichome.html</a><br>There's a bunch of (what some people call "mindnumbingly
dumb") BASIC games in flat ascii listings. The entire
Creative Computer "101 Basic Games" is there all in one
160kb zip file. All you have to do is put "console
16,1" at the end of a listing, run "unix2dos" on it,
then you can attach the file to the simh tape reader,
boot up BASIC and run "console 18,1" and that will
come back with an "OK" at the end and the program is
loaded. From there you can save it to a virtual disk for
later numbing. So far it's run CIVILW, LUNAR, MAZE,
ELIZA has some string problems (DIM KEYWORD$(36)
fails), CHECKERS runs fine, ANIMAL ran but quickly got an
out of space error.<br><br>I'd like to get some of
those over to the real Altair somehow,
