Indo-German Urban mela - Chennai
- Dear all,
I have no doubt most of you must be knowing about this event, however we liked it so much y'day that I thought I'd share it here, just in case there is someone who doesn't know about it yet.
We were there and there was a clown show which kids of all ages enjoyed, a workshop on composting (it is called Waste Matters, it said 9- 15yrs but my 6 yr old was able to participate in it without any difficulty) and a skit competition in German and English combined. We watched the skit competition for a while (there were some really good ideas there)and then went around all the booths. There is a dream tree where one could write what his/her dream was for Chennai and then hang it on the tree. The organization which has created the tree would read all the dreams and try to implement as many of the dreams. My children had such sweet dreams to hang..
Several booths were for adults, teens and the twenty somethings..but it is also a great exposure for younger kids which is why Goethe Institut had invited all the schools, I guess.
