Educational Philosopies - a quote
- Education cannot be based on theory or one someone's philosophy. If it is,
the theory or philosophy becomes more important than the child's welfare. If
education is based on someone's theory, then educators loose their
initiative to discover what learning is. We can easily follow the ideal
because it sounds so appealing on paper. In practice it becomes rote and
stale. Education must be based on life and not on a theory about life.
