The Romance Notes set was released in the Summer of 1946 in
        conjunction with a radio campaign.

If you look on my website, I only have 11 cards in the photo for
Romance Notes...taken from an ebay auction which probably had an
incomplete set. Do you have all those pictured tj?

The Vagabond Notes series had a dozen cards, as stated on the cover.

Here's all the research I have on his card sets:

I always wondered if mine were original or not as the art is pasted on a
blue background and not a part of the original card.

Page 72 is a caterpiller meeting up with the butterfly that goes with the poem on pag 73, which is on the card also. I believe the Sea Oats card belongs somewhere else or possibly in another set like these. I believe we have the 12 originals figured out now. Mine are the same as yours with the pasted art onto blue paper. Rather rudimentary but still attractive. Now I'm pulling out any of the colored ones he did. Mine are scattered out from moving, etc. How's the Armine research going? tj

Bev, I'm so sorry for the crash...that's terrible! Any Armine stuff I have that you need again? Because I moved to Magalia, I had to pack up all my collection. Now I'm going through it with a fine tooth comb, picking out stuff that is important to my research and then looking at what I can sell off. I have some duplicate things I've collected over the years. I have hired a computer tutor to begin working with me so I can photograph or scan all documents, photo's, cards, letters, etc, into my computer. He suggested I also create a backup system on CD's, so that if my computer crashed I wouldn't loose all my material. After hearing your story, I will definetely do that. He figures he can provide me with enough skill building training in about 10 hours of one on one training, so that I can use my iMac computer and start creating the book I want to do on Blanding. I'm ready for it now and am excited about getting the computer training I needed to create this book. Mine will not be like Keith's, I have other ideas on how to present DB to the public. I have lots of support from Carmel. Right now, I've got inquiries into the Carmel Pine Cone to see if I can go through all their old material in hopes of finding some lost treasures that never got into the newspaper. I'm also looking for any contracts DB might have had with the Pine Cone for doing the publishing and copywork for some of his little 'artsy' kinds of works that he did in Carmel. We'll see what happens there. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.......tj
