The darker side of Abraham Lincoln

Excerpt: "But compared to the Radical Republicans, a faction led by the likes of Secretary of War Stanton, a man who despised Lincoln, he was, indeed, a moderate. Supposedly he opposed creation of a national bank, and all the available evidence indicates that he would not have supported Reconstruction, the prolonged military control of the defeated South. So he was hated both by the Southerners and by many in his own party. Conspiracy researchers for years have suggested that the entire Civil War was rigged by European bankers and by secret societies like the Masons. The Masons were probably behind the Knights of the Golden Circle, who later formed the nucleus of the Ku Klux Klan (organized along Masonic lines and employing occult terminology). Charleston, South Carolina was a hotbed of secessionism before the war, and was also headquarters for Scottish Rite Freemasonry in North America. Be that as it may, Lincoln was the first American President to be assassinated, on 4/15/1865, by a band of conspirators including Lewis Powell, George Atzerodt, Samuel Arnold, David Herold, Michael O’Laughlin, Lewis Powell (a.k.a. Paine), and John Suratt, led by famous actor John Wilkes Booth, who was the one who actually shot Lincoln. Booth may also have been a member of the Knights of the Golden Circle; the evidence is inconclusive. They were all Southern sympathizers, and Suratt’s mother, Mary Suratt, owned a tavern in Maryland believed to be frequented by agents from the Southern secret service. So there could well have been a larger plot controlled by the Southern agents, or the conspirators may have been used without their knowledge by the Radical Republicans, or even by an unholy alliance of the two. Either way, we will never know if Lincoln, arguably one of our very worst Presidents, would have redeemed himself through generosity and moderation after the war."

His name is Stoecker, not Stoecke, and among other weirdnesses, he claims that he was abducted by a UFO. So I wouldn t put a lot of stock in anything he says.
