Re: [allthingshistory] So, Should This Woman Have Just Gotten In Her Car & Left?
- Well the moral of the story is: Stay the hell away from Texas women at gas stations. Geez. I would not have taken cell phone pix of someone I had shot unless I thought it would in some way be evidence that I HAD to shoot, that I was in fear for my life. Which it sounds like she was if he was swinging his knife at her. Allison

Woman Shoots & Kills Man In Gas Station, Takes Pictures Of Body On Phone – CAUGHT ON TAPE
Kristin TateJuly 22, 2013 6:15pm PSTBREAKING: A woman shot and killed a man at a Houston gas station. Not only was the incident recorded on the gas station’s security camera — the woman also captured it on her own cellphone. The unidentified female got a .22-cal rifle out of the back of her truck and threateningly pointed it at the victim, 58-year-old Louis Daniel, before shooting. The man only had a pocketknife and umbrella.Daniel was swinging his knife at the woman, which caused her to shoot him multiple times. He died on the scene quickly thereafter. The security camera captured it all. The footage is shocking. The sickest part of this entire thing? After shooting Daniel, the woman took out her phone and took pictures of the dead body.Still, it is unclear who the real victim was in this case. The woman could have simply been defending herself against a violent maniac.According to KHOU-TV:According to police, the shooter claimed the man had made unwanted sexual advances and refused to leave her alone. She also told police she feared for her life.According to witnesses, the victim was acting strangely.“He had an expression like he was just mad at the world,” said Jon Thomas who was in the parking lot at the time of the gunfire.“She just had the gun pointed down to the ground and said get back. I guess he didn’t expect or like that.”According to family members, Daniel had just left his brother’s car wash and walked over to the gas station where the confrontation took place. So far the woman has not been charged with anything. We’ll keep you up to date on the situation as new information surfaces.
