On Dec 1st I saw only one Sandhill Crane in this location. Today, there were eight Sandhill Cranes on the north side of CR10 located between Hwy 65 & CR19. That was around 4pm. I tried my best to make at least one of them into a "Whooping", but no luck.
At the Gulf Shores WTF there were Wood Ducks, Ring-Necked Ducks, Gadwall, Greater Scaup, Green-Winged Teal, Common Goldeneye, American Coot, Pied-Billed Grebe, Wilson's Snipe, Killdeer, Great Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher, and Eastern Phoebes.
At the end of Hwy 59, I scanned the gulf waters and saw seven White-Winged Scoters flying in a southwest direction. Common Loons were in the nearby waters and the usual suspects on the shore.
Another good day in the neighborhood.
