Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Where would we be if we mocked people for asking perfectly reasonable questions? A group like this, as much as anything else, surely exists to help one another in their researches, rather than to discourage them.

As to the question: most places seem to attribute the story to Grant, rather than Moore. I don't know if George Khoury is still actively involved in Moore scholarship, so is quite possibly no longer on this list. And there are lots of old bibliographies for Moore, which are also going to contain a certain amount of error (which can happen for all sorts of reasons), which gets cleared up as research continues into them. And, considering that the 2000 AD website list the author as being Grant, I'd say you can probably take that as the official word.

That is silly. It is very common to ask why people believe a certain author used a certain pseudonym and wrote a certain story. The belief came from somewhere, and I don't know why you decided to speak for everyone and lecture me. If no one on this list knows where the belief came from that's fine, but you have no way of knowing that and neither do I, and that is why I asked. The best chance to find someone who has an idea where the belief comes from is on this list. I believe George Khourey is on this list, and he may know something about it since he put it in his book. He had to get it from somewhere.

      Clairvoyant? LOL.

I mean we can read the comic and speculate they certainly have different styles, but none of us have ever held positions of power over at 2000 AD and thus we really don't have the sort of inside information that would allow us to answer this question in any direct or meaningful way. . . Unless someone here is a clairvoyant and they haven't fessed up yet? In which case We are Waiting!
