      Hello, folks.

Do any of you know if there is an on-line site for land records of
Alabama counties? Through the Bureau of Land Management site
(http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/) I've been able to locate Land Patents
issued in Barbour County, Alabama. Now I need to track the subsequent
transactions on those parcels to try to pinpoint when a Patentee sold
out and came to Texas. Ideally, it would be wonderful if these records
were on-line in a digital format.

Also, it appears that there are two courthouses in Barbour County ---
one in Clayton and one in Eufala. Which one houses the Deed Records for
      the mid-19th century?

      Many thanks for any help.

The original Barbour County deed books should be available at the courthouse in Clayton (334-775-1109). The deed books were microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah and microfilm copies, 1833-1903, are available at the Alabama Department of Archives and History and through LDS family history centers.
