      Join us in Historic Selma, Alabama on February 18-19, 2011 for the 5th Annual Black Belt African American Genealogical Conference and Family History Fair. Canadian interdisciplinary artist and genealogical investigator, Deanna Bowen, who has traced her ancestry from the prairies of Alberta, Canada to the Black Belt of Alabama, will be the keynote speaker at the Awards Luncheon. An opening reception and showing of the film, "The Language You Cry In" will take place on Friday, February 18, 2011 beginning at 5:30 PM at the Larry D. Striplin Performing Arts Center, 1000 Selma Avenue.
