      Friends,

This is a reminder of next week’s deadline for paper proposals for the 2011 annual meeting of the Alabama Historical Association.  You won’t want to miss this meeting on Mobile Bay. The keynote speaker will be E. O. Wilson, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning biologist, Alabama native, and chronicler of the intersection of human and natural history on the Gulf Coast. On Saturday morning we will hear from Scott Peacock, master chef and now documentarian of Alabama foodways.

      Best regards,
