      The New Perspectives lectures take place in Auburn and in selected locations throughout the state. Each year it focuses on some aspect of art, history and culture in Alabama. New Perspectives is funded by a generous grant from the Alabama Humanities Foundation, the state agency of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

      Taylor's talk is co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Art's Department of History.
