Spend a Summer Afternoon at the Archives in July
Museum Tours :
Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00pm: Starting Tuesday July 7th
Museum Make and Take:
Daily at 2:00pm:
Starting Wednesday July 1st
Take a break from the summer heat at the Archives!
The Alabama Department of Archives and History will offer FREE guided tours of the museum on Tuesdays and Thursdays through the month of July.
Tours will start at 1:00 pm in the first floor lobby. The hour-long tour will tell the story of Alabama history through the artifacts and exhibits in the museum's main galleries.
Following the tour, visitors can participate in a hands-on Museum Make and Take activity. Daily at 2:00 pm, in the Hands-on Gallery, children can make an Alabama State Flag using felt. The Alabama State Flag Museum Make and Take will continue through the end of August.
