      Time:  2:00 p.m.

      Location:  First Baptist Church , downtown Prattville

      You Should Know: Lee Ann Wofford will speak on cemetery preservation and related programs offered by the Alabama Historical Commission. Ms. Wofford manages the Historic Cemetery Program as well as the Architectural Survey Program for the AHC. The Autauga Genealogical Society welcomes visitors.

      **2009 Clarence Cason Award [March 5]
      Roy Hoffman [see http://tinyurl.com/bu5equ ] , an acclaimed novelist and journalist, will receive the 2009 Clarence Cason Award in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Alabama College of Communication and Information Sciences on March 5 at a dinner in his honor at the Hotel Capstone. Tickets for the dinner are $50. The event will begin with a 6 p.m. reception. Hoffman will accept the award and speak at the dinner. To order tickets, call Sheila Davis at 205-348-4787.
