      Join us for the third annual Alabama Book Festival! Celebrate books,
      reading, and literacy with your favorite writers and readers!

      The 2008 festival will be held on the grounds of the South's premiere
      history village, Old Alabama Town in Montgomery, Alabama. This year's
      festival will feature more than 50 authors/presenters, as well as book
      appraisers, illustrators, publishers, and book sellers. The free event
      is open to everyone.

      2008 authors/presenters will include

      Ace Atkins, Wicked City *  Stephen Berry, House of Abraham *  Rick
      Bragg, Prince of Frog Town * Frye Gaillard, With Music and Justice for
      All * Geoff Hill, Ivorybill Hunters: The Search for Proof in a Flooded
      Wilderness * Joshilyn Jackson, The Girl Who Stopped Swimming * Rheta
      Grimsley Johnson, Poor Man's Provence * Cassandra King, Queen of Broken
      Hearts * Deborah Wiles, The Aurora County All-Stars * and many more.

      Special offerings include

      Dedicated children's area with storytellers, authors, and activities * a
      performance selection from Conecuh People * vendor row of magazine
      publishers, book publishers and book appraisers * children's book
      characters * on-site coffee house and food vendors * and special guest
      singer-songwriter Davis Raines Going to Montgomery
