      LIBRARY EXHIBIT: EARLY ALABAMA FORTS

      Located in the three glass cases on the north side of the Special
      Collections and Archives Department facing Samford Hall, is a display on
      early Alabama forts. The exhibit features numerous documents including
      books, maps, and captions with information about early Alabama forts
      such as Fort Morgan, Fort Toulouse, and Fort Mims, to name a few.

      The Special Collections and Archives Department is located on the
      GROUND FLOOR of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.

      LIBRARY EXHIBIT ON CREEK INDIANS

      Located in the three large glass exhibit cases immediately on
      one*s left upon entering the Special Collections and Archives
      Department is a display on the Creek Indians. The exhibit features
      numerous books, maps, photographs, and captions with information about
      Creek place names in Alabama, history, culture, language, and even
      recipes. One exhibit case features genealogical information about the
      McIntosh family, a prominent Creek family.

      The Special Collections and Archives Department is located on the
      GROUND FLOOR of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
