I asked our colleagues in Mobile how they fared during the hurricane.
is a response from George Ewert concerning the Museum of Mobile.

The Museum of Mobile is now closed for the indefinite future. The
Market / Old City Hall was flooded on the first floor during the
Water lever was not high but it brought in a lot of river mud and
containments. There was no structural damage to the building or the
      museum locations and storage facilities.

Crews are taking out the carpet now and we are awaiting word from the
of Mobile as to how and when to proceed next with the recovery effort.
first information we have is that FEMA and the City will share the
of bringing the museum back into operation.

Staff will return to work on Tuesday, September 6 and begin damage
assessment. We were very lucky given what could have happened.
