Please visit the The W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library's current
      exhibition

A Legacy of Warmth and Vitality:
The Mansion, the Presidents, and Their Families at The University of Alabama
An Exhibition of Materials from the W.S. Hoole Special Collections Library,
The University of Alabama and materials on loan from descendants of the
      University of Alabama's past presidents.

This exhibition is in conjunction with the Past Presidents Family Reunion,
which was held on June 19, 2004 at the University of Alabama.

The exhibit features photographs, artifacts, manuscript material, and
published materials from the University of Alabama's past presidents and
current president, as well as historical materials from the University of
Alabama's rich past. Included is an original plan of the campus, ledgers
from the University's earliest days, as well as the copy of the Koran that
was purported to have been rescued from the flames when the campus was
burned by Federal Troops in 1864. Also featured is a desk that was used by
Dr. Denny, and several items on loan from UA Presidents' descendants.

The exhibit will be on display through September 17, 2004.
