      The Mobile County Probate Court Archives Exhibit is now on display in
      the new library at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. The
      exhibit contains over 200 reproductions of historical and genealogical
      documents housed in the archives department of the court. The exhibit
      will be on display through the end of April. Inclusive dates of the
      exhibits are 1786 through 2000.

      Some of the featured documents are the Spanish land grant for the
      original city of Mobile, Fort Louis de la Louisanne, estate records,
      black history, confederate history, bay and harbor records, Spanish and
      French documents, yellow fever, early Spanish and British Colonial maps,
      &tc.

      courts website at www.mobile-county.net, click on probate, click on
      archives.
