      Goat Hill Hosts Inaugural Book Signing

      The Goat Hill Museum Store in the Alabama State Capitol is hosting
      an inaugural book signing for Alabama Governors on Friday, July 20, at 11
      a.m. Editors Samuel L. Webb and Margaret E. Armbrester will be on hand to
      personalize copies of the book which details the state's political history.
      The collection of new biographical essays, written by 34 noted
      historians and political scientists, relates the history of the 57 men and
      one woman who have served as Alabama's chief executive from territorial
      beginnings to the present day.
      Published by the University of Alabama Press, Alabama Governors
      contains a foreword by former Alabama Governor Albert P. Brewer. The
      book's editors, Webb and Armbrester, are associate professors of history at
      the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
      The book signing takes place during the Alabama Studies Symposium
      which features two days of presentations and activities that explore the
      state's rich cultural and political heritage.
