Subject: Solicitation for Centennial of Flight Commission Web Site Enhancement
The United States Centennial of Flight Commission (COFC), created by Congress in 1998 to encourage and promote the commemoration of the achievements of the Wright brothers and the centennial of powered flight, has placed on the FAA procurement web site a solicitation to enhance the Commission's World Wide Web site. The Commission's web site is located at www.centennialofflight.gov and includes information related to the centennial of flight celebration and the history of aviation.
The Commission is seeking enhancement proposals that might include textual, primary source, multi-media, etc., that help in the understanding of the history of the Wright brothers and the development of flight.
Anyone who might have an interest in this solicitation may find specific information about it on the FAA at URL:
Once at this site click on the "Contract Opportunities" and then search on the "Centennial of Flight" for this announcement. The closing date for this solicitation is May 4, 2001.
