      Civil War Mobile
      Presented by Lonnie Burnett
During the Civil War, the city of Mobile played a pivotal role as a port city for the Confederacy. It was the last major port seized by Union forces after the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864. As the 150th anniversary of the battle approaches, join us as Dr. Burnett explores Mobile's political, social, and economic history during this tumultuous period. Learn how Mobilians reacted to the war and contributed to the war effort in vital ways.
The public is invited to bring a lunch. Complimentary beverages are provided. Admission is always FREE!
