      In chapter 13: Uncertainty, page 469, I couldn't understand how did the author calculate
      P( X = 20.5 ) = U[ 18, 26 ]( 20.5 ) = ( 0.125 ) / C
      nor the limit at the end of the page!!
       
      Could someone explain please?

        likely to happen.

        All the book is trying to say is that the probability of the
        temperature being EXACTLY 20.5 is 0 (the probability of a single point
        in a continuous distribution function is zero) but that the
        probability of the temperature being "around" 20.5 is 12.5%. That
        interval could be say 1/10 of a degree.. so 20.4 -> 20.6.
